Wow. Tough bunch of days. I’m home

Well last Wednesday ambulance took me to hospital from neighborhood walk in place. Hospital took x rays and I had Pnuemonia. They did Corona and Thursday morning found out I had Corona. Heavy IV Meds to follow. Gut wasn’t working well. Not fun getting out of bed while weak to go to bathroom every hour. Black out once. Food sucks. Only water so that was not good. Got home Monday and I’m eating,drinking plenty of Gatorade etc. I’m in New York where it’s crazy everywhere with the Corona. I do not have a Spleen so that could of put me on track for not surviving this crap. Luckily I’m here and resting and trying to get my strength back little by little. Thank you to all my friends here praying for me. With help of Imodium my gut is getting better

Someone asked about Azithromycin and Hydroxychloroquine. I was on both along with other meds Cefpodoxime etc

Did you notice an improvement right after you started the Hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin? Was there any one treatment that seemed to be a turning point in your healing?

So happy to hear from you and glad that you are feeling better. All those antibiotics could be causing the diarrhea so hopefully that sill get back to normal soon.

Continue to stay safe since you are in the hot zone ... you don't want to be a carrier for anyone else even though it's not likely you would get it again.

Glad to hear that you are now at home! Hopefully the diarrhea will slow down for you. Even though the antibiotics were needed at the time they can sure cause us problems. The 5 day Zpack sends me flying to the bathroom, pretty much the few I can take does this to me.

All I can add is take good care of yourself!

Hard to keep a tough man down, and yes, those antibiotics could be the culprit.

You may have some valuable antibodies!

Wow, Champ. I am glad you are home. I was so worried about you!
Do you have some way to get in groceries, meds, etc., without going out? In our area a lot of the pharmacies that don't usually do this are delivering or shipping by UPS so people don't have to go in......

My 19 yo daughter is home from school so she gets me what I need. Had a small solid BM today which I haven’t had in a long time. So Imodium helped. Finally moved around today cleaning place up. Felt good. Lungs let me know I’m still sick. Was a tough go. Thanks Song and every one else for all the prayers. Good to be getting healthy

Relieved to read that you're back home, 6TC! But take it easy for a couple weeks at least. / Old Hat (39 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

Glad you are on the mend. Double whammy for you to have the severe GI symptoms as well. At least there is no flare to worry about. You are a true survivor

Thanks all. Getting stronger every day. Lungs got beat up but getting clearer. Was few scary days there. NY isn’t a great place right now. If u can be happy getting Pnuemonia and Corona then I’m happy I got it out of way before it all gets crazier

Congrats 3tc on getting through this tough ordeal! Agree getting sick now is likely better than getting sick later. Stay well and hope you fully heal up soon.

I am very happy that you're home and doing better. What a crazy couple of weeks you've had. It sounds like your GI stuff is back on track too?
