I am assuming no one is having routine colonoscopies during this time. I have not seen any posts for some time now with questions regarding scopes or bowel prep. Then it occurred to me - should I just assume this? I would normally be having my every-two-years scope next month. I haven't started the procedure to get an appointment but now suddenly I'm wondering if I should. Is anyone out there having their routine scopes these days??

In my state these procedures are on pause until May 15 and possibly longer if things don’t start to settle down.

Same here. I had Tele health appt with my GI recently. Asked him if he’s doing any procedures now. He said no.

My GI is scheduling flexible sigmoidoscopies as needed for June. He told me they are not considered "elective" procedures, so if the doctor decides one is necessary to diagnose the state of disease, it will get done. I assume the same is true for full colonoscopies.

Hmm. Okay so it seems like mostly they are being cancelled. Thanks for the replies.

I had one scheduled for April 20, but it was canceled. Wouldn’t have done it anyway. They’ve started procedures back and called to reschedule, but I’m putting it off for now, as it’s not super-pressing.

My last Colonoscopy was in 2014, the Dr performing said that he removed two polyps and test should be done again in 5 years as a precaution.
My hospital has an internet where you can download any tests you may have had.
Discharge Diagnosis was: "Benign Neoplasm of Colon"
Diverticulosis of colon without diverticulitis. (Discharge Diagnosis)
Unless i am not reading this correct, it did not say anything about
removing 2 polyps.
I am 77 years old and really did not want another test anyhow.
Comments appreciated.....thanks
