Hello, it's been awhile,

I was wondering how is doing lately? Hope everyone is doing ok. I was diagnosed with UC in June of 05, Then I was in remission from 06 to 16. Then I had the coloscopy in 15, & they said I needed surgery, but they was going to give me these 2 meds 1st. Remicade didn't work & I had an allergic reaction on Humira. So it was time for surgery. I had the 3 surgeries (July 2016, Sept 2016 & Dec. 2016) It was a lil rocky, but I came out ok. The surgeon said I will be at least go to the bathroom 4-6 times a day. I still have to see him once a year to see if the j-ouch is still in tact, & he said I'm at a risk for cancer, but I am doing fine. Now I'm battling my mental illness. I started playing video games again, reading a lot & I'm working on getting back to college. Hopefully this pandemic will end soon.

So how is everyone else doing?

It has been a stressful time for sure. I had my first real flare-up in a long time in the last few months and I am pretty sure it’s related to the pandemic stress. I’m very lucky because I am able to work from home but I also feel isolated. It’s hard to balance the need for socializing and the need to stay safe. Despite all of this I am enjoying this opportunity to slow down, spend a lot of time in nature, read books, etc. I hope everyone is doing well.

In a remission for around 8 years now with only a few small blips in there. No complaints here.

That must have been a shock to have a colonoscopy and then be immediately told that you need surgery!

I just had a colonoscopy, and almost everything is healed up with only a little bit of mild inflammation in the biopsies. Who knows what it will look like in two years when I get another scope.

Glad you are feeling well after your surgery. How many BM's do you have a day?

Glad you are feeling well after your surgery. How many BM's do you have a day?

Usually I have 4-6, if I eat anything Dairy, it's usually more
