Budesonide / Cortiment

Anyone been on Budesonide/ Cortiment and if so, how long does it take to work?

Been on 9mgs for about 10 days now and I’m still going to the toilet approx 10 times per day. It stopped the tummy pain when I initially started it, but now I don’t seem to be improving.

Really trying hard to avoid pred so I can manage ok at the moment, but I’m starting to worry this Cotiment isn’t going to work on me, Is it usually so slow to kick in?

I’m also taking double dose of Simponi, nightly steroid enemas and melasalazine granules.

I am currently on it right now and have been for I think 5-6 weeks. It was definitely slow to kick in for me maybe at like week 3-4 I noticed improvement and honestly I am still getting mucous with my bowels so I don't think its going to put me in a full remission. So give it time for sure, I remember the first two week there was no progress on it.

Budesonide did nothing for me at all - had to head to pred.
