Need advise post colonoscopy and biologics

Hi Mike, Seems like you and I have been having similar flares, although mine is limited to the rectum at present. I was on Entyvio since November, Rowasa, Canasa, Uceris foam (basically anything we could throw up there to try and stop the symptoms). I still had light blood and urgency most days. After my recent flex sig, they discovered a severely inflamed rectum. Right now on 40mg of Prednisone, no rectals for the next couple of weeks, 4g of Lialda daily and moving to Remicade on Monday. Boy, if only steroids were not the devil's spawn, because I feel better than I have in 2 years right now. I am comfortable with Remicade after reading about it here and on-line, so I am hoping this move will put me in remission. I think keeping your options open and being willing to move off of a drug that has not worked (or adding something to it) is wise. It's disheartening to have a drug fail us, but at least we have options to try. Good Luck.

Have you had blood tests to check for Humira trough levels and antibodies? If so, have you re-tested since upping your frequency to weekly shots?

6MP can be a beneficial add-on to certain biologics, but by itself it's pretty unlikely to get you out of this flare or to be a long term solution to prevent further flareups. So you should feel free to try it, but only as an adjunct to a biologic like Remicade (if Remicade ends up being an appopriate med for you to switch to - and that will depend in part on your blood tests for Humira trough levels and antibodies).
