My wife and I both got our first dose of the moderna vaccine yesterday...due to age....I'm currently on Entyvio so I'll keep everyone informed as to my progress. So far, only a little soreness at the site of shot and feeling fine. Some say it's ok to take it, some not. So...being the 'trustful of our government' type that I am...I gambled on the vaccine. We'll see. LOL Good luck all, stay vertical.

Hope it doesn't cause any major issues. My mother got hers last week and she was fatigued, had chills for a few hours, and vomited at one point but felt completely fine after sleeping for 14 hours!

Also got moderna last week and on entyvio. I got chills 24 hrs after injection and ran a low grade fever 100.-something but after taking two tylenol that went away and the next day I felt fine. My arm was extremely sore for 24 hrs but much better the next day.

Moderna a week ago. A bit of fatigue the first day, nothing more. The second shot can't come soon enough!

2nd day felt a little sore all over, but am fine now. Sheesh....the trust we put in our government. LOL

A doctor in our family works long hours in the ER and Covid ICU. After the second dose of Pfizer vaccine the fever was enough to call in sick the next day; common among colleagues. I think this is good news and means the vaccine is working as expected.

Just got my second dose of Moderna. It was almost universal among my peers that we all got aches and chills (flu like) the day after along with the sore arm. Nothing more though.

Family member (age 97) got the second dose (not sure which manufacturer). She has a fever, but is doing okay. I think most can handle it if she can.

Pfizer first shot already, second next week. On Humira. I’m a healthcare worker on the frontline so I’m thrilled to get it no matter the side effects!

I am supposed to get the Pfizer vaccine in 2 weeks and I am on Humira. Did anyone’s Drs say to space out your biologic and vaccine?

second shot today (i'm an EMT) - moderna - sore arm, got me tired and slept for 4 hours straight in the evening, got up at 12 wide awake now lol - feel fine so far

Twingirls -- I am on Remicade and checked with my doc about the timing of my infusions with the shots and he said there are no known concerns with the vaccine and Remicade. I have my 1st shot scheduled on 2/14 -- a week after my next remi infusion. Depending which vaccine I get, my 2nd dose could be about a week before the March infusion

Thanks - I am getting the Pfizer vaccine and since it’s 3 weeks apart it’s more difficult to space. I asked my Doctor and he said there is no known interactions either but they did say sometimes people get a temperature/headache etc... with the shot so try to space them out.

boy did I speak too soon. the night after the second shot and for the next 24 hours were followed by intense shivering, 101 fever, muscle aches, weakness.. as if I have the flu

Yeah I found my first shot reaction happened 24 hrs after the injection. I am expecting to have your experience with my second in 2 weeks. But it will be worth it in the long run. And they do say that a reaction is good because it means your body is doing what it’s supposed to. (Not saying that no reaction is bad!)

Does the Pfizer or the Moderna have worse side effects after the 2nd shot?

My niece had Pfizer 2nd shot. She was nauseated and ill for 72 hours. Intermittent high Fever for 48 hours. She said the bottom of her feet hurt so bad she could not walk on them-72 hours but no rash or anything...just a deep painful ache.

Yikes! My next shot is 1st week in Feb. I will let you know how it goes.

Love that everyone updated us on the vaccine. Really appreciate it. I am in California so it might be a long time. Keep the updates coming!
