anybody taking STELARA

I have a colitis for 8 years. Almost tried everything. My GI wants to put me on STELARA. Did anybody tried it. How was the success rate. please guide me

my gi told me stelara is not too effective for colitis, you can see more studies regarding using stelara for cu and crohn.

as i see based on studies stelara is mainly for crohn but i have red here more succesful story who had cu and stellara was very good for him or her.
so definettely it is worth to make a trial.

I’m on Stelara. I started it April 2nd so I’ve only had the IV dose and 1 injection. I go for my next injection on July 22nd. It’s been good so far but I was also put on Betnesmol enemas for 2 weeks which worked quickly. I had a colonoscopy 1 month ago which revealed mild inflammation. I was previously on Entyvio for 1 year and Remicade for only a couple months before building antibodies and having an anaphylactic reaction.

I had my first infusion 3 weeks ago after failing Humira TOTALLY for 10 weeks (I actually got worse).

No issues at infusion and after 7 months of flaring, ughhhhh, I am seeing improvement! Am also tapering off prednisone so the Stelara is def doing the heavy lifting right now. Solid stools, no more cramping, still have urgency esp in the AM but that is usually the last thing to wrap up....starting Canasa suppositories to try and heal that last end section.

I am really fatigued though, anyone else? Could just be the disease, being sick for so long. But I really feel it more in the past 3 weeks. I mean, I can get out of bed etc, but can only do one BIG thing a day like the grocery store, or laundry, or cleaning and I need to sit down and chill!

Also just started Stelara. First infusion last week with no issues! Tapering off pred and feeling great!

I started stelara to decrease 6 mg pred to zero and i take xeljanz

my first 2 days with stelara was very good
it made me remmision i had very lot energy 1 hard bm/ day

4 days after i feel lower effect, i feel that the uc begin to come back.
when i received other biologys ( remicade, entivio) i had alaways the same poblem that they have lost their effect after a time(after 6 month, 2 years)

what is your experiences with stelara?

Now when i received it fisrt 2 days was amazing feeling after it gone away and i feel inflamination is coming back
had you similar effect?
it means is it not working?
