I wanted to share with you that for the first time since 2002, when I was diagnosed with UC, I’m finally in full remission!
I hope everyone will gain full remission soon!
I didn’t do anything different!
Maybe it’s the social distancing! LOL

I struggled the first 5-6 years, I tried all the available medications at that time, biologics was not approved yet for UC, until I tried Dipentum, hepled me to control most of the inflammation except for the left side and the Proctitis. So I was on and off between left side flares and Proctitis, or both for the past years . Now all under control!
Honestly, I didn’t do anything different same medications for about the last 14 years, Imuran, Dipentum, Canasa and Enema as needed. I don’t follow certain diet and I don’t take supplements other than regular multivitamin.

My original gastro said: sometimes this "burns itself out". By that he must mean spontaneous remission. A friend on a single course of Prednisone went into deep years-long remission after that. He takes 2 Lialda a day. He used to call me every day wondering when his suffering would end. Even now he falls into anxiety with every mild unrelated symptom with worries that he might be backsliding. Just shows the trauma of even a single flare.
