I read it’s being used for treatment of covid

Very interesting. I just googled and found this:

It's being tested as a treatment in trials.

It has been hypothesized by several people here that it could be beneficial because of the way it prevents the cytokein storm that is seen in severe covid. Glad they are doing trials so we will know for sure.

Hope that it proves effective, since those of us on it get lower antibodies from the vaccines. So maybe the combination of at least some antibodies from the vaccines and being on infliximab will give us some peace of mind.

Yes I found it interesting because a couple replied to my post about surviving covid with ibd and both mentioned humira contributing to recovery from covid

I knew I wasn’t going to have the cytokine storm since I was on RemicAde.

This is so fascinating. I had heard from the beginning of covid the IBD patients were actually doing quite well overall with Covid and the thought was that the medication we take may prevent the hyperarousal (my words) of the immune system. Looking forward to hearing more.
