Hi,
Anyone struggle with spicy foods?
My son ate a spicy pizza, and overnight used the toilet a couple of times, seeing minor blood.
He has now went to the toilet today with normal movement and no blood (enema last night).
We were trying to taper to 2x enemas weekly but back to nightly after this event.
Anyone any similar experiences ?

Seems a too fast taper with the enemas...what was the schedule?
Spicy foods can increase bms...but wouldnt make a flare worse. He might have a hemmorhoid or a fissure tho.
Why taper to 2x weekly? And if so, he should have used the supps inbetween during the taper.

Spicy food = trouble for most IBDers & this can be a problem even for people in remission. / Old Hat (40+ yrs with left-sided UC; in remission taking Colazal)

He was doing really well Quincy, but back to nightly now. The good thing is we have a running prescript
ion for them now.
He had a poo during the night again
Sometimes this condition can be tough!
