When I'm flaring I eat (well drink) a lot of smoothies, with dairy alternative milk (rice milk and oat milk usually).
Banana, peanut or almond butter (or ground almonds) and fine oats (Ready Brek in the UK) is a favourite smoothie option.
I try to eat soft foods that are nutrient dense, and soluble fibre. My 'safe' foods include:
Potato, white rice, oats, avocado, sweet potato, hummus, butter, cheese, cream cheese, steamed or baked apple, live yogurt, rice crispies, fish eg tuna, haddock, salmon, eggs.
None of this makes a gourmet meal but when I'm that flared up my appetite is low anyway, so it's more a case of trying to get the calories and nutrition in.
