I see some of you are within antibody studies. Here's one I found with data from Clarity IBD, a multisite study led by researchers from the Exeter IBD Research Team, Imperial College London and the University of Hull in the UK.

"Impact of Biologic and Immunomodulatory Therapy on SARS-CoV-2 Infection and Immunity in Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease"

"What did the results show?
• Following 2 doses of vaccine, participants
treated with infliximab had antibody levels
that were 4-6 times lower compared to
vedolizumab-treated patients.
• By 6 months, antibody levels in infliximab-
treated participants had dropped below a
level that is thought to protect you from
getting a COVID-19 infection.

Thanks, ipoop. That pretty much describes my results. The 3rd dose definitely increased my antibodies -- 10x more than I had with the 1st antibody test after having 2 doses.

Will be interested to see the test results of others after they had the 3rd dose.

I just got my results from the UNC antibody study post booster. I went from 34 ug/mL after the first 2 doses to 173 ug/mL after my 3rd dose. In between my second and third dose my GI lowered my aza dose from 100 mg daily to 75 mg a day so perhaps that had something to do with my markedly better results.

I got the results from the antibody test I had done at Lab Corp for the UNC study. The level was 3 on the first test I had in May that was about 2 months after the 2nd shot of Pfizer. I had a 3rd dose in August and now my antibody level is 32 so clearly the 3rd dose really gave me a boost. Still not as high as some others have received, but I feel better protected now than I did before.

Also, I had the blood drawn for this test about 2 hours after my last remicade infusion. Don't know if that affects anything.

I saw results from the study and that is within the normal range for people who are not immunosupressed. I would be very happy with that number. I had a 12 after the 2nd shot and I am waiting for the results of my most recent blood test.

I did pay for the one John Hopkins uses (UNC had not started to test booster antibodies yet) and my results show I am more than 2500. I am higher than their ranges go so that made me happy.

Wow, Mom! That sounds like a great number!!

Twingirls -- how long ago did you get the booster? UNC said they wanted to test within 8 weeks of getting the shot.

Don't know about the Hopkins study but that sounds like a great result! I had a 3 on the 1st UNC test. So I was very happy with this new test

Got my antibody results for John Hopkins. 6 month Check and also 3rd dose pre-check. My results from June testing were over 2500. Yesterday’s result = 1800. So they went down by a bit. Got my 3rd dose of moderna today. I think JH wants me to test again in 2 weeks

I am pretty happy with these results especially since my kids are back at school and my youngest isn’t old enough for the vaccine yet. What test does JHU run? I feel like it was mentioned somewhere in this thread but I can’t seem to find it this morning.

Update:
Received my 3rd dose of Moderna (full dose) and was tested for UNC’s trial on 11/15 using the Cov2Quant IgG test.

My result = 218

I was tested 3 months after my 2nd dose and the result then was 75. So, a big jump!!!

Flowers -- that's great that the booster increased your antibodies!

I got an email from the UNC study yesterday asking if I wanted another antibody test. I said yes so now waiting for them to send the lab slip to get it. I had my booster (4th shot) of Pfizer on 1/19 so and very curious to see what my levels are now. I was at 3 after the 1st 2 shots and 32 after the 3rd shot in August.

I wish there was a lab closer to my house the UNC study would let me use. I refuse to drive up to a LabCorps in Indy again bc they were so rude the first time and it's far away. Wonder what my levels are after the booster though. My boyfriend likely has covid and I saw him 4 days ago and I haven't gotten any symptoms. He's also on Xeljanz. He's waiting for his PCR test results. I got my booster 10 days before seeing him on Monday. I bought one of those at home covid tests but haven't done it yet. I'm just really curious to find out if he has it and my vaccines protected me!

I hope so, Sara! Fingers crossed! How is you bf doing? Hopefully he was vaccinated and is only having mild symptoms.

LabCorps are all over the place here. The one I go to is inside of a Walgreens. I like the techs there. One of them is from Haiti and a great accent. He loves to joke around with everyone. Is "Indy" Indianapolis? If so I just did a google and looks like there are several locations there so maybe try a different one? The antibody test that UNC uses is a special test at LabCorps.

I just got my requisition letter too so will go next week. Curious if my levels have dropped or not. Haven’t heard from John Hopkins for awhile about retaking their test.

My D-I-L got covid last week. She’s been vaxxed and boosted and was only mildly ill. Was a pain tho for her to isolate and we had to cancel a big family trip because of it, so I am really hating covid right now.

Sara I’d definitely try a different location. Mine is a very small office with only one person ever there, but they’ve been nice and efficient every time. And I have bad veins to get blood from.

Yeah, Indianapolis. Too far of a drive for me to do it again. They're all over an hour away. Last time was a really bad experience. I just don't have the energy to try it again. Thanks though for Googling.

He was vaccinated but hadn't been boosted yet. His last dose was last June. Hasn't gotten PCR covid test results back yet. Today is 3 days so I'd think he would get them today. He had one bad night where he felt really weak and stuff and then what he said felt like a "medium cold." He works around a lot of people. I took an at home test yesterday and it was negative. I feel fine so far.

Thanks, clo! Bf still hasn't gotten his PCR covid test results. Today is 4 days since he got tested. The lab said they're experiencing a surge in tests recently, but it kind of makes the test somewhat pointless when results take this long. I still have no symptoms, 6 days after hanging out with him for 3 hours! I do think what he has is covid because someone at his work had it the other week and his symptoms match up with Omicron, and he never gets sick with anything. I almost half hope it is covid now because that makes me feel pretty darn bulletproof right now...(knocking on wood, lol).

They do say that people who are vaccinated are less likely to pass it on and people who are boosted are even less likely. Crossing fingers you stay healthy.

Thanks all! He finally got his results back this afternoon and they were negative. We were both surprised. He hasn't had a cold in years, the symptoms seemed a little odd for a cold and a bunch of people at his work have had covid. He is scheduling his booster now! Actually, I think he's going to get a third full dose like most of you all. Thanks all for the support and this thread.

He just has to tell them he is on an immunemodifying drug or an immune suppressant drug. They did not check on me. I told them I wanted the 3rd full dose vaccine. They did not have Pfizer and gave me Moderna. (Which is what we were trying for anyway)

I pulled up the CDC site and took a screen shot... And printed it out... So I could show them I was eligible.

I went to a pharmacy called Hometown Pharmacy. They didn't have Pfizer when I called them so that's where I went. I was trying for Moderna. It has more RNA than Pfizer and my infectious disease doctor told me to try to get that one since my Pfizer did not work.

I just got the results from my third antibody test from the UNC study, and they have REALLY gone down. I got the booster in late October, and my antibody levels are now below what they were after my second shot. Really not happy about that and worried.

First test: 75
Second test (post booster): 135
Third test: 57

Has anybody else gotten a test more than 4 months post-booster?

I had my booster (3rd shot) in September and had my antibodies checked last week. I am over 2700, which my doctor said is "terrific response to the vaccines". I am on Remicade at 10mg every 6 weeks.

Did you get sick (immune response) after any of your covid vaccines? I was sick for a few days after all of my first 3 doses. I have not bothered with getting testing for antibodies, I am pretending that I have 0 antibodies and I am behaving myself.

MmeMulot -- you should be eligible for a 4th shot. People on immune suppressant meds qualify for a 4th dose since that is technically your booster. 3 doses are considered the initial doses (instead of 2 shots) for immune compromised people.

Daisy -- that is a really high number!!

I had my 1 year antibody test for the UNC study after my 4th shot and my level increased.
1st test after 2 shots -- 3
2nd test after the 3rd dose -- 32
3rd test after the 4th dose -- 100

I don't feel like I am risking my life when I leave the house anymore, but I am still being very careful and always wear a mask when I go anywhere.
