Has anyone heard from Old Mike? I'm getting even more concerned because of how things turned so quickly and we haven't seen him on the forum.

I was just thinking it wasn’t that long ago that he posted he was not well. I didn’t realize two months have passed since his last post.

I fear the worst.
It's so sad how you really get to "know" people on here but when they dissapear you never know
what happened to them.

I do recall reading a post from a sister of someone who sadly passed on, explaining what happened.

I really hope he's ok.
I love his sense of humor.

I didn't read his thread the first time around but just checked it now, holy moly. I hope he's alright but I also fear the worst.

I hope he is just recovering....but I have fear. He was driven to warn us all....and now...to not hear anything else. It concerns me.

We do get to know one another on here. We share things with one another that we probably can't share with others.

I wish we had a way to check on people that we don't hear from.... Yet at the same time we want to respect their privacy.

Anyone have his email so they can try that directly?

I understood from his post he had bowel necrosis. The prognosis isn't good.

Yes...that was his last post... a long while ago. Nothing since then.

He was home but still draining fluid from an abcess and said he wasn't out of the woods until all the drains had been removed 😥

He's in New York like Keith and I. I got the feeling from his post he lived in Manhattan or the 5 boroughs??? Keith might know exactly where he lives? Not that it will help locate him but I hope and pray he's ok. Never is easy with UC and the times we are living in. Be well all

Thanks for your enquiry about OldMike, Mariposa444. It is a pity the senior member above was so abrupt to you in her reply. That says a lot more about her than you. There was no need for this. At best a simple and honest mistake on your part.

Hopefully we will hear good news on OldMike soon.

Let's try and keep things positive and especially respectful on a thread such as this. Hopefully the moderators take note of such and the rules which specify how people should treat each other on this forum.

Actually I read it several times, that’s why I posted. Apologies for trying to help and I really don’t see why you needed to be rude to me. It looked to me like it was him resharing his old post.

Thank you. I’m fairly new here and have been feeling grateful for the support of community and common experience even though I don’t post a lot. To me it looked as if Old Mike had posted anew. Sorry it wasn’t the case.
