Help please Azathioprine and prednisolone hair loss

they always grows back for me. on aza for last 4 years. then there are other factors like age, diet and environment. yes they wont be as thick and dense as earlier but you will be fine. wont notice it at all.

I believe some more wise than I have said hair loss is caused by your flare and the resulting body stress but it lags behind the actual event. So it may not have been necessarily caused by the med but by the flare that preceded it. It will grow back as your health improves but slowly, unfortunately. You can try taking collagen or biotin.

I'm on Remicade and methotrexate. My hair just keeps getting thinner and thinner. They told me it would slow down or stop.... Nope. Now my eyebrows, eyelashes, hair on my legs and arms is non existent.... BUT I have the best moustache of any woman I know ..

I hope you have better luck than I did. Some of the ladies in my support group--their hair came back just fine-after getting off aza for 6 months. The mx ladies still have thin hair and they've been off it for a couple years.

Prednisone makes my hair fall out or shed for about 3 months and then it starts to grow back in and the shedding does get better--after I am completely off or pred.
