My GI told me there was two new biologicals that were supposed to be approved soon, I guess it was this one and the other one is supposed to be Skyrizi for Crohn's (he mentioned that one by name).

rinvoq (upadacitinib) is from the JAK-inhibitors family (same as xeljanz/tofacitinib and filgotinib), so I'm guessing your GI might mean another drug?

I'm not sure, I could have interchanged biological with new drugs. I just asked him if there was any new meds coming on the market soon. He mentioned Skyrizi by name and that there were two drugs being approved by the FDA in the next month or two. I didn't pay too much attention because I am doing well on my current medication.

We have a member on here that is on Rinvog & a biologic. I cannot remember the username, so far this member is having success. And the member is getting the two meds from two different drs that are working together. Strange situation, one dr is in NY & the other one is out of the country.

I did some digging, Hugo18 is taking Rinvog daily, Stelara monthly.

Not really that "strange" of a situation. It is from the same doctor but was attained via two different opinions.
It combines stelera with rinvoq. Seems to do a great job for now.

Those are pretty good stats.

Any one know if someone could have success with one JAK inhibitor but not another? Just curious for now, but about to start Xeljanz (maybe)

Well Xeljanz worked well for me until it started working and now Rinvoq, which is a JAK seems to be doing the job. Same family but slightly different types of mechanisms.
