Rinvoq Day 3

Nothing new to report. Stools continue to be normal without blood or mucus. Also, I have not had any side effects. The only thing I have noticed is more urination; but there is no pain when I urinate or anything like that. I'll let the doctor know if it continues.

Otherwise, day of Rinvoq is good. I'll post tomorrow for day 4 and then give it a week in-between. But if something negative happens I'll let you all know.

Perhaps you're peeing more because more water is being absorbed in the colon?

So I was on Humira but the trough levels were low and antibodies were higher than normal. Also, I had a calprotectin test that was about 6,000! I had noticed mucus in my stools and a bit of blood and unusual amount of constipation. So yes, I would say I was flaring.

The doctor put me on a 40 mg. prednisone taper immediately and I raised the mesalamine rectals to nightly. This helped. At first, the doctor wanted me to try Imuran again so as to overcome the antibodies and get the Humira levels up. But I just cannot tolerate Imuran at all.

I don't know if I'm in remission already. I suspect that if they did a colonoscopy there would probably be some inflammation still. But I do think that the Rinvoq is already helping to get things under control.
