Hi All -
So far, so good. I've had my first two sessions of chemo. Some side effects, but since I know what to expect, they're not scary. Sessions are every 2 weeks, so the second week, just before the next onslaught, I feel fine!
I keep visualizing and talking to the mass: "SHRINK!!! SHRINK!!" I'm gonna beat this thing! I've got plans, things to do - I'll get through it!
A nurse friend explained to me that the chemo is like this: it's like the cancer cells are leaves in the yard, and the chemo is shrinking them and raking them into a pile so they're easier to remove. I find that easier to understand.
I've decided to return to home base here to continue chemo sessions and evaluations, at least for now. That will buy me some time to get settled in the new house and also to Doc Shop in that area.
I've been happily busy packing and cleaning - sorry to not have given an update earlier. It all should start to calm down now!
Moving truck came a few days ago and we head off to our new home this weekend. Best Husband In The World drove up there after the truck and directed everything, so the whole first floor looks perfect, and our bedroom is set up. Our "offices" (my craft and sewing room, whatever) are still a mess of boxes, but we'll get to that.
