Mike, have you ever had an inflammatory bowel disease serology panel ran? It's a blood test that detects pANCA, and ASCA antibodies, which are commonly found in IBD patients.
I tested positive for ASCA IgG antibodies, which is an antibody to saccharomyces cerevisiae (brewer's yeast).
Interestingly, saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast is a source of alpha lipoic acid (ALA). (
