Here's one of those rare studies that compare the effectiveness of the biological meds against the small molecules. At least in this study, looks like small molecules are kicking biologics butts.

This gives me hope. It’s been a week on Rinvoq and no difference yet in my flare. Still a lot of blood and tons of bm’s. Managing the pain with medical marijuana but hoping Rinvoq starts working soon.

My GI was very excited about the small molecule meds when I questioned him a few years ago.

One is really interesting is how effective rinvoq is with patients who are not naive to biologics. That is very promising.

Does it matter it was funded by Abbvie? I honestly don't know. I just saw that at the end and it made me wonder. I'm grateful Xeljanz has worked so well for me.
