Anybody try it? I have tried to avoid popcorn due to the kernels and hulls being a bit rough on the way down.

When I am flaring I avoid popcorn, but in remission I eat it without issue. I love popcorn. When I started eating it again, I bought hull-less popcorn. But apparently "hull-less" does not mean "no hulls" it means "less hulls". I didn't have any problems with it so now I don't worry about it.

I haven’t eaten popcorn for years due to diverticulitis. They now say that it’s ok to eat but I don’t want to take chances.

Why doesn’t their website say what it actually IS? I had to go to the nutrition list to see the ingredients.

Something that kind of gives me a popcorn fix is PopCorners chips. Looks and tastes kinda like popcorn. I especially like the kettle corn flavor.

I've carefully eaten the white puffy stuff around the indigestible bits.
The hulls are like swallowing glass.

I eat popcorn without issues. I don’t eat nearly as much as I did pre-UC.

Try Chester’s Puffcorn. You should be able to find the butter/original flavor at WalMart, Albertson’s, WinCo for sure. I find that it’s the most popcorn like and I actually prefer it to regular popcorn. I also agree that Popcorners chips (kettle is my fav) is a good alternative too. Should be able to find them at any mainstream grocery like Kroger, Albertson’s, & WalMart.

I nibble around the hull when I do eat it.
..but usually I'll eat the flavored rice cakes to get my crunch crave satisfied.

I miss it too....along with raw crunchy vegetables... Just typing this has my mouth watering and my intestines twisting...lol...

When I'm not in a flare, popcorn is ok if I don't go overboard. Popcorn and beer while watching football or NBA, perfect!

I'm in a mild flare. I LOVE popcorn.

I ate some popcorn last night. Organic yellow kernels, cooked in organic coconut oil in the stove. I took CBD beforehand to calm down my colon and tried to chew the popcorn really well. I woke up with no cramping and had a nice solid stool this morning.

I think popcorn (organic only to avoid pesticide residue!) can be a pretty good source of food for your gut microbes if you're not in a deep flare!
