Hi Chemist.
As I said in the first post in this thread, don't know if it will work for UC.
Anyhow, I started with MCT C8 oil, then switched over to BHB salts. Not both at the same time.
Also start slow, with BHB say 4 grams. If decide to try ketone ester, real slow, they are about
3x more ketones
in the blood,vs BHB.
Don't over do,perhaps 600mg COQ10 too much also.
Make sure you are sufficient in zinc, copper and selenium, for antioxidant enzymes.
Keep sugar as low as possible.
The idea with veggies is stay away from the fermentable/soluble fiber types until colonocytes are functional.
Too much butyrate on the luminal side, when colonocytes can't use it,will inhibit repair.
From what I read on social media some do quite well with UC and Keto. Yea may cause excess H202,also
heme can be a problem. I also worry, lots of meat, causing excess taurine conjugated bile acids, possibly increasing SRB and H2S.
But the again,if detox is functional, perhaps not a problem.
Many claim doing well with Indigo.
Just in case did not post this. Excess oxygen in colon possibly causing the dysbiosis

This is not like pred,or biologics, It is a slow metabolic approach. But if you saw the Crohn's/BHB N=1 study took about
a month. Part of the thinking is to get increased reducing equivalents, more fuel to drive TCA cycle, since there is a butyrate block, and beta oxidation block. Something like glutamine may or may not help. P probably has much correct, but can't get into that here.
I can't test this,my UC is gone, with 95% of colon left. Rectal stump no blood no pain, don't take anything for it anymore.
