Not sure how to open Salofalk suppositories

Hi, I'm actually posting on behalf of a friend with colitis, but she was diagnosed yesterday and is struggling to open the newly-prescribed Salofalk suppositories, I figured that tons of you will have been on them / are on them... so what's the knack?! Thanks! I've never used them because I've always used enemas ...

I think I used a small pair of sizzors to start. It's been years since I tried them. I hope they work for your friend. Beware...if they leak out after dissolving, it may not come out of your bed sheets or underwear.

I’m late to this party but chiming in to say I had this problem for years. Based on the replies I’m guessing there are different packaging types for this product. I received mine sealed up in white plastic like impenetrable little mini torpedoes. It took me many years to accidentally notice that the very top flat part of the torpedo isn’t sealed shut. If you put a fingernail in they separate - pull both sides apart and they quite easily pull open. Occasionally they jump right out of the package. Of course shortly after figured this trick out I was taken off them 😂.
