Improvement 60% on Clinical trial drug antiviral

I had my scope today, only inflammation at the rectum, rest of the colon good. This is huge improvement for me since doctors wanted to take out my colon a couple years ago.

I had two scopes in two months and I have improved he said 60-70% from my scope in January.
Two months in on medication. No side effects. It’s in phase 3. I now get the drug for one year and possibly up to 3 years.

He said the study won’t approve rectal meds they want to see if the medication will heal the whole colon.

It’s an anti viral drug , so maybe my UC was a virus that kept acting up. I have been prone to shingles and shingles pain since my 20’s, cold sores etc…

I hope for continued improvement and get this on the market for people who fail biologics like me.

I always hope that they may discover a virus or bacterium responsible for UC so that they can treat it relatively easily, and so that patients don't get blamed for their illness by society (comparing with stomach ulcers here, which used to be attributed to stress, but are now known to be caused by an infection).

CMV would have symptoms as would UC or CD. Having both issues could drive each other and would have to be dealt with separately. It's awesome this med is available and that you're a part of the clinical trial.

So my last scope was awful, he had to use a small scope to get past stricture. So I’m still in study but because I relapsed I know have the drug 50mg abx463 . It’s give me the worst headache . I don’t think I can continue. I don’t feel like it’s doing much.
Prozac has been wonder for me these past few days!
I’m going to try that curcumin /qing dai company called evinture with my Prozac.
I will get an arthritis drug from my primary doctor. I just can’t do this medication. It makes me clench my jaw and I get a horrible headache and neck ache at base of head.

Was Phase 1 the 1st 12 weeks? Maybe you had the real drug then, but if they gave you a placebo in Phase 2 that could be why you got worse? How long have you now for sure been on the real drug? Sorry to hear about the headaches. Hope you find an answer.
