cramps

Hello, as I was sitting here reading some of the posts on HW, I got a horrible cramp...This may be a dumb question and maybe I should already know the answer...I'm still learning a lot about this disease (Only been diagnosed for about 6 months) ...What actually causes the cramps? My guess is food moving through the irritated area, but that's only my guess...Am I right? I mean, yesterday, I took a couple of tylenol for a headache with some good cold water right out of the refrigerator, and 30 seconds later, OUCH!!! A horrible cramp!! So, I'm confused on what caused them...I guess I should have already asked my GI about it, but when I'm there, I can't ever think of all my questions...Thanks

Gas can also cause pain and cramping.
