Refridgerate Canasa????

Hi I got a canana suppository perscription. It said keep refrigerated. My other canasa suppository did not say that and I did not refrigerate those. What does everyone else do.

I've never refridgerated my Canasa. Hmmm just thinking about inserting a cold suppository makes me shudder! :) I always kept mine in my bedroom which is in the basement and it's cool down there anyway. But a few years ago, when I had to travel for vacation - it was hot outside so I kept them on ice to prevent them from melting and it worked great. But, if it's warm in your house then it might be wise to keep it someplace cool(er).

I just checked my box of Canasa, which sits in my bathroom cupboard. The box says nothing about refrigeration. The suppository plastic covers say:

Store at under 77 degree F (25 Cel). Do Not Freeze.

The idea of freezing them or putting them in the fridge sounds like a cruel joke. Do you think someone at the factory thought, "Gee, I wonder what we can get these poor sick people to do?" lol

I wonder if they had people in warm climates calling to complain about the product melting at "room temp" which was really over 77 degrees, so then they might have added that info.
