Yes, I get frequent bloodwork done. But just to check the basics and liver enzymes. I just had my blood drawn last Friday but haven't heard back with my results yet.

By brain twitching could you possibly be referring to muscle twitch on the scalp?

(I get muscle twitches all over my body periodically - thoroughly unexplained by doctors they don't concern themselves)

Or are we talking a "twinge" of pain?

Or something else altogether

Bob....I'd make the connection with the omeprazole....you could ask your doc to put you on Pariet.

Sherry...it sounds horrific what you're going through....I hope your doctor will be able to at least be able to get you into a rheumy asap.

A little confused Sherry, they do use Remi on arthritis? I do remember reading it was first used on rheumatoid arthritis. That would really suck as it doesn't seem to help you. Are you running a fever? Do you feel like you are inflammed all over? I sometimes get that and it can be very painful. Can this be your fibromyalgia? Let us know how you make out.

lol Ok, Stacy, now you have me confused! I haven't been on Remicade in my life.  So I don't know if it would help me or not  :-)   If I do have arthritis, it is in my spine and arthritis in the spine is called Spondylitis.  I'm not sure if this is what I have but all my symptoms seem to match it perfectly or maybe even some other form of it.  They sometimes use a TNF block such as Remi to help slow down the progression/help the pain.  I will know for sure when I go see my primary and the rheumy.  And no this is not my fibro.  This is definately in my spine and in the joints for sure.

Doors, it is such an odd feeling that it's hard to describe! Mine is definately a painful twitch and it doesn't feel like it's in the scalp but in the brain and only on the upper rightside crown of my head. Hmmm, I guess it sort of feels like when you stick your tongue off and on a 9 volt battery but on the brain instead.

Ugh! I still haven't found the bottle of super glue! And now my right foot feels like it's going to fall apart...

I have an appt with my PCP on Monday. I guess I should start making a list - again.

Ok so I went to my doctor today.  But first let me say that I am in pure agony today.  My whole body is just too sore to do much of anything.  So when I went in to see her, I forgot the questions about my eyes and head pain!  I have major fibro fog today or maybe it's just pain fog I dunno.  I talked to her about my hip and back pain though (Hey! I remembered the reason I was there for in the first place - how about that??? lol) - she said it sounds like I have Sacroilitis (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sacroiliitis/DS00726/DSECTION=1). She pressed on my SI joints and I about hit the roof.  So she prescribed me Skelaxin (which is a muscle relaxer) and I have to make an appt with a Physical Medcine/rehabilitation doctor to start a series of steroid shots in my SI.  I brought up the possibility of arthritis and she wants to try this first to find me some relief but we plan on persuing the matter more in the future.  So that is where I'm at right now.  Sorry I didn't ask about the head pain since I know many of you have that as well!  My mind is just not in the right place at the moment.

Hi Sherry....being in as much pain as you're in...understandable you didn't remember to ask about your head pain. If you were having it at the time, you'd have remembered. You'll see your doc again to ask the other questions I'm sure. Write them down just in case so that you don't have to try to remember. Works for me, because I can get talking about one thing and even that relief makes everything else non-existent.

I hope the meds help lessen the pain for you. You truly need a break.

I noticed in your signature that you take Effexor. Have you read about the side effects associated with stopping Effexor? One of them is described as "brain zaps"...

Is *that* what you're feeling? Like an electrical zap? I wouldn't think that you'd feel it if you were on a low,steady dose, but maybe that's it.

I'm sending you lots of good vibes and well wishes. When people say, "Never a dull moment" I sometimes think they don't know the half of it. I mean, your colitis gets better but then the rest of your body hurts. It doesn't seem fair. Hang in. <hugs>

I can totally relate.

Sometimes, it's the most depressing thing when something else happens to you and it ends up being related to Crohns, or I guess in your case UC...?

It's like, you just can't get away from it. If it's not the disease itself causing something, it's the medication for the disease.

I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Hi Sherry,

I'm glad she gave you something for pain at least and i hope it works.  Is she going to do any exrays?  Please keep us posted as to how you are doing.  Hope today is a better day.
