UC for just a few hours??

last few days, I will have very pre-UC existance for a few hours, as in no urgency or bloody stool, fully formed BM, no frequency, and then, suddenly, will have a couple hours of UC-symptoms where I have urgency and frequency and diarrhea. Does this ever happen to anyone besides me, where it seems like UC appears for a few hours and then goes away again? am I crazy ???? :) thanks.

i thought i was nuts too... about a 2 months ago, i started having mixed signs in the toilet too.
sometime i would go like a normal person and then later i would have some blood and diarrhea. i was like what is going on? am i getting better or not?
i am now in remission.
you are probably in the process of healing but not quite there yet. give it time.

i used to have problems like that, when i was doing ok, i would have these times, where for exactly, to the minute, two hours i would be horribly horribly sick. Then it would go away and after that would be fine for a few days.

It can be the nature of the beast...my very first GI told me flares or even remission can last anywhere from a day to decades with this idiotic disease.

Ok,  I have discovered I get the big D when I start my monthly bill.  It lasts only a day,  but it's always enough to make me worried...I say to myself "please don't be flaring!!"  and it always is better the next day!  Thank goodness!!    But I think about it,  people that don't have IBD will sometimes have just a day of diarrhea,  and not feeling good,  why can't we??  When we are in "remission"  can't we just have a bad day or eating something that doesn't agree with us,  without actually being in a flare?   I think that it can happen.

How long have you been on Imuran? I get this too when I'm coming out of a flare but it was more noticable when I started 6mp. Sort of like my Uc was trying to say, "Uh huh no way! I'm not ready to let the 6mp win yet!" But eventually the 6mp kicked the Uc's butt. :) But I also had that before the 6mp too, sort of like cool....everything is going good for a change and then bam off to the bathroom I go.

I have been on Imuran just about 6 months, slowly increasing. final bump was about 3 months ago, so I actually think I am just now beginning to really benefit from it. I know some people respond within 3 months, but that wasn't the case for me. I know the imuran has been helping, but it is a slow progress....

thanks for all your responses. I always feel so much better after getting advice/thoughts/stories from all of you.
