Well I've never heard of it but googling states that it's a natural anti-inflammatory...I drink chamomile everyday for the anti-inflammatory affects of it, and it doesn't have much of a taste...if you want to drink the yerba mate tea you could try adding honey to it (it's also a natural anit-inflammatory as well as antibacterial and antifungal) then maybe you could stand drinking it better.
It can take a long time to notice effects from anything and that includes tea.
