Question - new member

Hi all - haven't introduced myself. I've been so upset about the flare after being in remission for 9 yrs. and it was so sudden. I have theories but my doc says it is definitely active UC. left sided. The bleeding started after being on some codine cough meds that constipated me for a couple days. Just thought it was a hemorroid but here I am. I'm on Asacol 3 - 3x day and just added 20mg. Prednisone. I also take several natural things: Omega 3/6, garlic, probiotics, whole food multi, B6, L-Glutamine, Metamucil and zyflamend. Anyway, my question is yucky but this group doesn't seem to mind. Could you tell me what others use in case of an "accident" when you're out - liners, pads?? Thanks.

Thanks, female. I thought I'd try some liners. I have just been using kleenex or tp. I know what you mean about "out of nowhere". Usually I only have my bathroom trips in the morning and at bedtime but sometimes ........ Bam!

Light days pads will stop most small "spills" and aren't bulky under your clothes. I also keep a zip-lock bag with extras and a box of wet wipes in my desk drawer at work and carry both in zip-lock bags in my purse when I'm out. Even now in remission. Just in case, you know.
