i read your thread about cutting out the wheat and dairy, if it's something your dr suggested and you want to try it is is a lot of work trying to keep them full (not hungry) i use soy for baking and breading-sautee chicken cutlets dipped in little bit of soy flour in soy butter, litle bits and soy butter for yams again little bit,
the reason your son May have felt exhausted when you cut out the wheat is it is like detoxing if you do it all at once -unless you have some other carbs going,
this happenend to my other daughter when she went on the south beach diet-and i've heard it from other people-that cuts out all carbs for the first 2 weeks and my older daughter got zonked-she did this away at school so it was something i learned about after the fact. cutting carbs cold turkey will zonk you -so try to find other sources of simple carbs if you want to cut out wheat. i think it's the complex ones like pasta and cakes and other... i'm only learning but i do think it is controling her frquency of diareah -and letting the colon heal so she has no blood right now, ihave to deal with each symptom as it comes up. i don't know if those were your sons problems.
