Hey guys! I'm home! I was just discharged about 4 hours ago after having all sorts of finalized hospital stuff to fill out/take care of. Sorry my fiance didn't post the other night, her computer hard drive has been corrupted, so now its in the shop. Anyhoo, after walking my butt off every day since thursday the general surgeon on my recovery floor said she would ask my surgeon if I could go home today. Et voila, here I am. I requested to go off morphine last night so I could start the pills and hint at getting home asap. The hospital stay wasn't bad at all but I just don't like being stuck in one if I don't have too. I shared a room with an older gentleman who has been there over a week (he just had his NG tube removed today), so I am very thankful that I had complication free surgery/recovery. So now I've got my bag, a flatbread sammie from quiznos, and a computer to catch up with! Hope everyone is doing well, it feels so good to be home, even though I no longer have stomach muscles :p.

Thanks for the tip Old Hat, I've been trying to keep it basic and to chew my food very well before digesting. I couldn't help having a sandwich though, and it just passed a little while ago with no problems! Hooray! Also, thanks to everyone else as well. Its always nice to read words of support and encouragement when going in for any medical procedure. I knew alot going into this thanks to several of you and I cannot thank you enough! Going back to lounging around the house/reading...
