Both Sulfa and Asacol? UC & UTI

Is anybody taking both sulfa and Asacol? If so, what dosages?

I'm juggling UC & UTI (urinary tract infections). It's a long story, but I'm going to try Sulfa again for the UTI, even though I had some problems with it many years ago. All of the other antibiotics get my UC out of whack. I do some self-medicating with the blessings of my doctors, and I can't remember if people combine the Asacol & Sulfa. I will call my GP to get his advice, but my extremely busy gastro is a bit slow to call me back. I just like to see what is working for others.

have you had this uti for a long time?
i know they are not to be taken lightly so you, of course, should do what you know is best for you.
but i was able to totally knock out my last uti with something from the health food store, no antibiotics!
it's made by Solaray and is called Super CranActin. it is significantly more expensive than other cranberry capsules, but i believe they claim the quality is better and there are also some other herbs that supposedly help get rid of the bacteria.
it says to take 2-4 a day with a full glass of water. i still have about a half a bottle left too. i'm sure i did 4 a day until the symptoms were gone and then probably another 5 days after that to be on the safe side.
i was pretty amazed actually that i didn't have to go to the doctor at all! that was nice for a change.

so if you're up for that, you could give it a try. :)
