uc and antibiotic

Hi again....I'm eight days out of a flare and doing pretty good.  I'm tapering my meds,  SLOWLY, like you said to do and so far so good. I just developed a urinary tract infection and I'm on Macrobid for it.  Antibiotics and me don't get along real well.  I've had c-diff from too much antibiotics 3 years ago after a bout of salmonella.  Anyway to keep things from flaring up again what should I be taking to keep things quiet in my colon.   Any help would be appreciated.   

I get a bladder infection every few years. I have gone thru a myriad of antibiotics. Cipro worked the best, but I had a rebound infection when it went away. And I always got that nasty yeast infection. Then I went to a urologist and he put me on Macrobid. Man, the difference was like night and day! It didn't bug me at all. The only thing it did was make my pee more yellow. But sometimes I would take those funky orange pills (azodine?) and that did a worse number on my pee. It would even stain the toidy.

I wouldn't worry too much abotu the Macrobid. But like everyone has already said, it wouldn't hurt to add some probiotics to the mix.
