blood from hemi, again?

I think my hemi never went away I had blood yesterday and today when I had a bm, it was blood on the tp more of a flat type of blood than a mucousy type.  Also, felt like I have the hemi too, like pooping sandpaper.  I have the supplies for a hemi....I am going to watch over the next couple of days and then call GI if it persists.  UUUGH!

I have a colonoscopy scheduled for 4/4, so I don't know if the GI would want to change it or not if I am bleeding?  I will let them know if it continiues on this week.

I decided not to cry this morning and am saying to myself, ok this is what is happening, it is not the end of the world, it could just be the hemi, if it's not I can deal with it at the point, there will be a solution, it will be ok.  I can handle this, I can do it.......

Hi Beth...I think it's best to use the hemi meds if you have them...what are they?

Do you think the doc wouldn't want to do the scope if you're bleeding or do you think he would want to move the day forward?
Bleeding will have no effect on whether to do the test or not.

Hang tough....it's another glitch in all the crap you have to deal with. I can relate to the disappointment...allow yourself the feelings and reaction...but have a plan and continue. You'll have to deal with it regardless..it doesn't mean you have to like it.

Keep us informed of how you're doing.

Hi Quincy, thanks for the encouragement, it means a lot to me! How are you doing, how is your mini flare?

I have the cleaning/cooling pads (cvs brand), prep h ointment and suppositories.

I don't know if he would want to change the day of the procdure or not? I wasn't sure if it would mess up the test, I did not think of moving it forward, but at least soon I will know how my colon looks.

Hi Beth...I'm doing fine actually...at the enemas every 4 nights and will be going to every 5 and staying there. I'm usually mega stressed during Spring...so don't want to push it. Otherwise, just got over a cold. My back has been a pain..lol...but need to do more exercise for strengthening and see the chiro more often. I have a quiet week..so looking forward to that bigtime.

I would definitely start the suppositories regardless and use the ointment if I were you....Even if it's a fissure (a possibility), it will help.

Good to hear there's no mucus with the mix...

Are you usually awake during the c-scopes? Cool to see what's going on in there...

Hope the week goes well for you...improves!

thanks, yeah, I can't wait to look into the toilet tomorrow (woo hoo! what excitment = )I have had two scopes and both times am drugged but semi awake, I don't remember much after (I think last time I was on demerol) and this time, the nurse said I was going to be on something a little stronger. I have the instructions and paperwork at home and will post what they have me taking for the prep, it's different than the last time.

Glad you are doing well and hope spring isnt too stressful for you this year, it starts this Thursday!

Regarding the c-scope..you don't have to be out if you don't want...tell the doc when you see him before the scope.

thanks, no blood today. Will see how it goes, it may be good for me to be out of it, I get kind of nervous.
