I received an e-mail from Dan, the moderator of the UC Roundtable discussion that some of us participated in last November.

Just wanted to let you all know about the UC program that Shire put together after the trip to Philly.  For those new to the group, November 9-10, 2007 Shire Pharmaceutical paid 12 people  (I think it was 12) with UC to fly out to Philadelphia for our opinions, fed us and paid us $250.  I completed a survey on healingwell.com and said I would be interested.

Updated:  The previous link had a problem. I didn't want to leave the wrong info here.  This is the correct information.  I would love to hear from anyone who attends one of these educational programs.

I saw the ad for this and was wondering if it was the same group. My mind just can't remember the names...

Good to see they're doing more. I remember people saying it was a good discussion, etc.

I've seen/heard several of the gastros who participate in their program on MedicalCrossfire.com Webcasts about IBD in 2006-7. It seems they're going to do another Webcast soon featuring Dr. David Rubin & others from U. of Chicago Medical Center. So whether one hears them speak in either place, they definitely know their subject! / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.])

Hi, I signed up for the Philly event. I live in Central NJ and wonder if there's anyone else going from this area?
