side affect from prednisone

hello
I have taken prednisone for 4 month for my latest flare.prednisone causes me to urinate a lot during the day
I finished with the pred two month ago and i still go every hour or two to urinate
maybe the pred caused me damage?

Hmmm. I've noticed more urination while on Pred, but always figured it was because the pred make me thirsty, so I drank more water, so I peed more. Since going off I went back to normal.

I always urinate more while on Prednisone (especially at night) but it always goes back to normal after I am off of it. Maybe you should get that checked out, just to rule anything else out that might be going on.

Prednisone is a diuretic - I don't know if I spelled that right...but it means it makes you have to pee more, like alcohol. I don't know that that should continue when you're not on it anymore. Maybe you just got used to going that often and only think you need to?
