I thought the most difficult thing I would face is dealing with ulcerative colitis but I just found out that I have a small nodule on the right side of my thyroid and 2 masses on the left side. I have been waiting in one way or another for 6 weeks since I found out something was there. My family doctor is faxing my results to a thyroid specialist and they will call me to schedule an appointment (more waiting). I am scared to death and am having a hard time dealing with this. I just needed to vent.

Aww Annie, I'm sorry that you are having to go thru that. I don't know much about the thyroid but I do KNOW about the waiting part. Hang tough and please try not to worry.

Vent away, and we'll send our good thoughts your way! My sis has nodules, and had to start taking synthroid -- it actually helped her energy levels because she didn't even realize she had a thyroid problem before. Take care and keep in touch.
