I have to have an MRI of my small and large intestines on Wednesday before my surgery. When speaking about
this, the surgeon said I didn't need to do any prep. When I received the instructions and appointment reminder in the mail, the secretary requests liquid diet the day before and products that you use for c'oscopy prep. I would prefer not to, as I must take myself to that appointment and would prefer to not be weak/sore/tired/hungry from numerous bathroom trips and no nourishment.
I would prefer to eat my regular diet, only changing 'dinner' to a liquidy soup and waiting for after the MRI for breakfast. I can bring a banana.
I plan on calling the Surgeon's office tomorrow, but has anyone had to clena out their bowels for an MRI?
