Last night I went out w/ girlfriends to a fancy restaurant. I had way too much wine and rich food. I swear I can hear my intestines yelling at me today! I'm all bloated and just icky. Okay had to vent. I did have fun though:)

I gave up yelling at myself for getting out there and enjoying myself too much. Yeah, I usually pay for it the next day but sometimes you just have to get out there and feel like a normal person right?

I look at it just like any other decision. If I want to buy a new sofa, I'll have to give up something else for a bit. If I want to eat, drink and be merry, I'll not feel well tomorrow sometimes. When it's worth it to me, I go ahead and enjoy.

We have a chronic disease, but we ain't dead yet!

I'm in this boat too....5 cokes, 5 hamburgers and 5 fries in 5 days. My intestines have taken on the role of a young John McEnroe...."You cannot be ssssssssssserious. You're killing me here". They've given me some other bad volleys too (bad pun). I'm sure I'll be feeling ace (very bad pun) tomorrow. I'll stop now as I dont want to create a racket (that was really bad!)

It's funny how much of this forum is made up about discussing food - especially since the "experts" tell us that food has nothing to do with UC!!

Food definitely affects my IBS. I see no difference in my UC unless flaring.

I hope those burgers and fries were at least yummy!

Seems ANYONE would suffer the same wrath....hope the weekend has you eating better and feeling fine by Monday.
