Why does the gas I pass have such a foul odor?

I wouldn't dare try to pass gas without being far far away from anyone.

I have UC for 2 years now, and taking 9 Asacol a day and enemas when needed.

I know exactly what you mean. My gas does have a strange or more foul odor than it did before I had UC. Who knows??

I know what you mean, too. Most of the time, mine doesn't have much scent, but when I eat certain foods, it gets downright rank and embarrassing! Maybe it depends on the flare and/or what you've eaten?

Hi, I too had lot of gas during last year. Then I started taking Imodium (with antigas) to control my stool. Also I am in a kind of remission now. and I dont pass the gas. I think Imodium helped in my case.

I had alot of gas when I was taking Asacol, and stinky ones.........Phew.. I don't experience that now with Azulfidine. Did you just recently change to Asacol?

lol, so the asacol makes it stinkier? that's just wrong! I always thought it was dairy. I try to avoid it, but I do love cheese. I try to stay away from those cruciferous veggies too, and popcorn.

my partner at work cant believe i can stink him out while driving, both windows open in the car, and a crosswind......
