Anyone know anything to help ease. I got rid of the bleeding, but now this has crept up on me. Every single evening my colon starts cramping, along with having this persistent D that has been going on for the past 3 or 4 weeks. Usually it may be a day or two and leave but this has turned constant. If it's not one thing its another, lol.
I switched up my probiotics this weekend to see if that will help.

:( Sorry you are feeling crampish. It certainly is not fun. Have you tried drinking any sports drinks to help replenish your lost fluids ?? Gatoraid for example?

I had craps when first diagnosed, but haven't had one since, either due to the 5-ASA or probiotics. I would def up the probiotics and see if that makes a difference.

Hi,

I have cramps too, mostly when I go to the bathroom.  Saw my doc yesterday and had barely explained about them before he was writing me a prescription for an anti-spasmotic medication called levsin.  I haven't filled it yet, so I can't comment on it's effectiveness, but if you call your doctor there is medication available for cramps. 

btw, the reason I haven't filled the rx yet is because it supposed to cause dry mouth and tiredness and I can't decide if the cure is worse than the disease.

D_A How many Lialda are you taking?
Are you using the enemas at this time? Maybe add current status into your signature.

Do start the enemas.

You could add a fibre supplement to bulk the stool.

Antispasmodics (I use Bentylol) can work wonders...

I think you have to look into what you're eating during the day as to why the excessive activity at night..

You should maybe have stool samples done.

Can you not do any 5ASA enemas?
