I get the generic Rowasa enemas and I find the tip (no matter how much I lube it) not to be very comfortable to insert and is just too pointy. Anyone have any suggestions and is the brand name tip better?

My best suggestion is to get a small enema bottle from the drugstore and use it over and over. I found one Very SMooth tip on one of my hydrocortisone bottles, and have used the same one now for 5 months. Before this, I was irritating the hell out of my rectum with sharp tips.

like I mentioned before, I think they hire someone to square off the tip..lol!

Going into an inflamed/hemorrhoided anus has an ouch factor. It helps to relax it as much as possible...so I can see the butt in the air position possibly as being less painful.

I find that starting to squeeze the med just at the entrance of the anus helps to push it in..as well, it gets a lot of med in that area too.
