Well, my proctitis is upgraded to pancolitis now. It's sorta depressing but I keep reminding myself it has probably been like this for awhile since I haven't had the full colon scoped in since 99. I have to say I don't remember much about yesterday. Don't even remember putting my clothes back on, lol. Seems it stopped at the ileum, but it changes how I attack this thing now. I was just worried about the end parts now I have to do some standing on my head to get these enemas deeper when I do them.

Hi D_A,

I was proctosigmoiditis on 05 and dx'd pancolitis Apr 08, I believe my last flare was the culprit.

I cried on the way home after my colonoscopy it is hard news to get. I do not think the e's can reach all the way up, though my GI still has me using them in my current flare b/c it will still help the lower part of my colon. I have thought of standing on my head too and maybe using 2 e's.

For me the main difference is the severity of my flares has increased. I hope that you are able to get your flare into remission soon!

Hi D_A, I am sorry to hear about the progression. At least your doc will know how to treat it better. Hang in there. Were you just kidding about standing on your head? I'm a bit of an airhead sometimes and don't always know if it is a joke or real. Good luck to you, Bellski

Sorry about your diagnoses. You should certainly look into some oral meds such as Asacol for Pancolitis as the E's are not known for reaching far enough.. ya gotta do 'er from both ends now I guess. :O( I've had Pancolitis since diagnosed and am just getting over my first really bad flare so all is not lost. I was in remission with Asacol for 4 years. :O)

I have a whole cabinet full of Colazal, and have been using 3 lialda a day, on top of the rowasa and cortenemas. I have actually been doing really well the past 3 or 4 weeks.

Yeah, I will just about get in a headstand propped up with my back against a wall bellski. The cortenemas are a little slower to dispense since they are more viscous, but when I use the rowasa and the vitamin E enema I can actually tell what part of my colon the stuff is in and work my body accordingly to get it down to my ascending colon, lol.

My next venture will be a modified fecal transplant. That won't come until Sept unfortunately.
