Start of Flare or not

I have recently seen a change in bowel habits.  No desire to go on the odd day but when I do have a movement, it can be loose.  I was diagnosed with UC in 2005 and have not really flared since.  I am trying to figure if this is the start of a flare?  The only thing I question is that my movements are still to one per day rather than when I was first diagnosed which was frequent movements.  Has anyone else experienced these symptoms?

I have been on Salofalk ever since I was diagnosed.

If your symptoms continue to increase, then I'd say it's more likely to be a flare. Are you having any rectal discomfort during any of the bms?

Normally itchiness or just a lot of stomach growling and gas.

The itchiness could be a hemorrhoid or a minor yeast infection.If it increases, you'll know soon enough if it's a flare.

If in fact your symptoms do show a flare, do call your doc and request the rectal Salofalk enemas which come in a 2g or 4g dosage.
