I have been reading the rules and its stated..."
  • Links to helpful web sites (commercial or otherwise) are allowed when they are posted by someone without any "vested interest" AND whose purpose is NOT to solicit, advertise, promote, fundraise, etc."   

    • so,  with that being said,  I don't think I have a "vested interest" in this website (altho not sure exactly what that means),   and I know its purpose is not to solicit,  advertise or fundraise. 

    So I wanted to share an awesome social networking site that has great people and resources for those with Crohns and Ulcerative colitis....  its at http://www.wearecrohns.org/

    I just joined and it is similar to this site except maybe more of a "community" of people rather than just a discussion board on the pains of IBD.

    It's a social networking site, whereas this is a peer support site. Different focuses.

    yeah..its different focus....I get more useful info/resources here, but a bit more sympathetic/personable stories there Iguess....I still feel the need to visit both areas for different things.     altho,  I must say there are more "RULEs" here, that you have to be cautious of...but if you can be on top of that,  I have enjoyed it here for a long time...

    And we have enjoyed having you here Christie! :) Yes we have a lot of rules but unfortunately due to some past bad experiences with unruly members, these rules had to be created and enforced. You know the saying - one bad apple.........
