I didn't see Dr. Lavery, but I saw Dr. Remzi (also a colorectal surgeon) at Cleveland Clinic. I was there for almost 2 hours (maybe they were just running behind that day?). At first, they had a nurse come in and take the usual vitals and medical history. Then Dr. Remzi's nurse came in and talked to us; she looked over the history and asked a few questions. Then Dr. Remzi came in and looked over my history. He talked to me about
my current quality of life and suggested that I opt for surgery sooner rather than later. He explained the benefits and risks of surgery and answered my questions.
CC is ranked #2 for Gastro disorders, so I think we're in pretty good hands.
