Transverse Colonic Biopsy - Normal
Right Side Colonic Biopsy - Active Chronic Inflammation
Ileum small bowel Biopsy - Normal
No evidence Malignancy
No Evidence of Dysplasia
No Evidence of Granuloma
Large Bowel Mucosa – Minimal distortion of glandular architecture.
No abbesses
Polymorphs are seen in places on the surface of the epithelium.
Histology Diagnosis:
“Some features here are of Chronic Active Colitis and could be consistent of IBD or an infective cause must be considered”
GI Diagnosis:
“Mild Crohn’s Colitis but no evidence of Granuloma - inconclusive results”
Medication:
Pentassa x 4g a day for 3 months then taper down. Steroids 5mg for 1, 2 or 3 months depending on need.
