How long was your first flare? Any tips on how to get over one faster, or do you just wait it out? I've been on
Pred@60mg/daily
with my Lialda but it only seems to buy me some "normal" time from 10am-8pm. Mornings and nights are still a struggle.

Hey, Apetro. That's a tough question to get a direct answer to because everyone's experience is so different. Where is your inflammation? Rectal meds may help to speed your recovery and ease the discomfort if it is closer to the end of the colon. I noticed a big difference within a couple of days after starting 40mg/day of prednisone. However, it has still been about
six weeks with my current combination of meds for me feel like I'm almost back to normal. Experimenting with what, how much, and how often you eat and drink can also help you be more comfortable.
