I think exercise is really important, too, but I haven't tried to take it to my max for quite awhile, either. I use a stationary exercise bike, walk, or do yoga. I belong to a gym but had the membership frozen for a couple of months because it's been hard to push myself to do the elliptical, etc. But if I start feeling well enough, I'll get back to it.
Just my own take, but I think it's important to let your body know you love it and exercise is one way you can get that across.
