Well the bizzarro flare continues...the wierd part is I bleed for a couple of days then I have no bleeding for a couple of days etc etc for the last month and a half. I currently have no pain or any other symptoms other than the stripping of blood mixed together with some mucous on the outside of the stool. I am seeing my proctologist this afternoon to see if (God willing) it's just my old fissure acting up since I did pass some very large/wide stool for a day or so ago. I also have noticed when I stop using the rowasa the bleeding stops, which I think has to do with the nozzle of the enema causing some issues even though I started to really lube it and myself well. Prior to using the extra lube I felt the nozzle actually sticking to my skin when I went to withdraw the tube which I now know was contributing to the bright stripped blood I was getting and as I mentioned above when I don't use the enema for a day or so the bleeding stopped. Since using the extra lube I have not bleed for 3 or 4 days straight but this a.m. there was blood; I did use the enema last night plus I've been using some prep H via the anal dispenser that comes in the package so maybe I damaged my fragile anal area. The blood spots streaking is always mixed with a small amount of mucous and is always on the outside of the stool. I hope I get some answers (good ones) today and it it from my old fissure.
I am also seeing a new GI doc on Thursday. BTW I picked up copies of my records from my current GI doc and I found some oddd things...It said i was to go on canasa as the first step in rectal meds but they were never prescribed. Second the pathology from my last scope said my UC was moderate to severe in the sigmoid and rectal areas and moderate higher up the GI do that did my GI doc that did the scope told me (and also written in the records) that I have mild to moderate UC and he said from his 20 + years of visual assesment it was mild to moderate, but when I pushed him about the pathology he now says its moderate....I don't knbow if it matters but when I had my last scope is was in the hospital directly in the midst of a very bad flair so they got to see and test my colon when I was at my very worst.
I think you can see why I am changing docs. Other than coming down with a sore throat (now I'm sore at both ends lol) I feel fine...the beat goes on....
